Leadership Bios
President: Emily Walters-Key, Alpha Xi, West Virginia
Emily joined the Alpha Xi chapter of Delta Gamma at West Virginia University in 2002. She served as the Public Relations director her junior year. After graduating with her B.S. Journalism, she went on to earn a Master of Health Administration at the University of Kentucky. Always one to embrace opportunities when they present themselves, Emily moved around working in Washington DC, eastern KY, Nashville TN, and Austin TX. She served in the US Navy for two years as a Lieutenant before being medically discharged. Now Emily is back in Lexington, KY with her husband Charles, two small sons: Teddy and Fitz, and dog Sugarface. She is excited to have the opportunity to serve as President for the Lexington alumnae association!
VP Communications: Lena White, Delta Iota, Georgia
Lena is originally from Savannah, GA, and has been living in Lexington for 3 years. She recently graduated from the University of Georgia where she pledged with Delta Iota in 2015. She now attends the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and will graduate in 2023! She enjoys visiting breweries with friends and fostering cats with her local shelter. Now, she serves Delta Gamma as VP: Communications for the Lexington alumnae chapter!
VP Programming: Carol Sullivan, Delta Beta, Kentucky
VP Membership: Kara Marino, Delta Beta, Kentucky
Kara grew up in Covington, Kentucky, and is a double graduate of the University of Kentucky (Journalism and Law). Kara has called Lexington her home since graduating from UK and is a practicing attorney in Lexington. She and her husband, Frank, have two sons who are current students at UK. (Go Cats!!). In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and UK sports. Kara is serving the alumnae association as VP: Membership.
VP Finance: Barbara Taylor, Beta Iota, Purdue
Barbara, VP Finance, returned to her hometown of Lexington in 2020 after spending college years at Purdue and a long career in the automotive industry in the Detroit area. Much of her professional experience was in budgets, financial analysis and business planning so her position lines up perfectly. She is an initiate of Beta Iota, married to Hunt and has two kitties, Smokey and The Bandit. Barbara is excited to join this fabulous group of women and re-establish our presence in Lexington.
Collumnae/Sponsorship: Maggie Stull, Delta Beta, Kentucky
Maggie is originally from Georgetown, KY, and has been living in Lexington since 2015. She graduated from the University of Kentucky where she was initiated a member of the Delta Beta chapter of Delta Gamma in 2015. Maggie currently attends UK’s College of Medicine where she will graduate in 2025. Right now, her interests are family medicine, sports medicine, and working with infant/youth and geriatric populations. She enjoys anything true crime, running, and spending time with her two pet bearded dragons. Now, she serves Delta Gamma as the Collumnae/Sponsorship Executive!
